This is a very short proof of concept/prototype for a game in development.

Description:

Taking inspiration from games like Metroid II: Return of Samus, Axiom Verge, and Hollow Knight. This is a Metroidvania designed for the original DMG Gameboy. 

Bob is a sewer dwelling blob with dreams of moving to the surface but must first overcome a whole host of traps and enemies to get there. Over the course of the full game they'll acquire new skills and abilities to get past the challenges ahead.

This short (5ish min) intro is a test of a couple of the intended features and a general design exercise.

Controls:

  • A Button (Z on KB) - Jump
  • D Pad L+R (Direction buttons on KB) - Move left & right
  • D Pad Up (Directional up on KB) - Interact
  • Start (Enter on KB) - Start Game
